About Rahma Recovery Center

Rahma Recovery Center is a culturally responsive recovery program serving immigrant and underserved communities in South King County. RRC operates Salaam House, a WAQRR-accredited Level 2 sober living residence, and is partnering with Living Well Kent (LWK) to develop the first multicultural, multilingual Recovery Café designed to address recovery, health, wellness, and community connection.

RRC provides structured sober housing, life skills support, community service, agriculture therapy opportunities through the RRC & LWK farm, and public health outreach programs including Narcan education and overdose prevention.

Volunteer Purpose

The Health & Community Support Volunteer helps advance RRC's mission by supporting client wellness, women's recovery programming, and community engagement efforts. This role strengthens day-to-day operations, enhances culturally responsive care, and helps build the foundation for RRC's future Recovery Café.

HIPAA & confidentiality training
Recovery residence orientation
Cultural sensitivity & trauma-informed care basics
Overdose response & Narcan training
RRC farm & community engagement orientation
